Earl “Bud” Sachs
age 88 of Algonac died July 12, 2008 in the St. Johns River District Hospital. He was born January, 24, 1920 in Detroit, Mi. He married Velma Baker on April 24, 1943 in Algonac, she died November 30, 1996.
Mr. Sachs proudly served with the U. S. Army during WW II in both the European and Asiatic Theaters. He was employed as a foreman for Chris Craft Corp. for 17 years and General Motors as a model maker for 22 years.
Bud was an avid boater, fisherman and bowler. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survived by his children Judy (Skip) Booth, Renee (Brian) Gillis, Robin (Jeff) Kodet, and Ricky Sachs, grandchildren; Scott Booth, Kevin Booth, Jody Solgot, Brandy Hranach, Rocky Gillis, Jeffrey Kodet, Ken Kodet, James Kodet, Kurtus Kodet; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Catherine Sachs and a sister Violet Rapp.
Upon the wishes of the deceased private funeral services have been held. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
