Alice W. Miketich-Naylor
age 98 of Algonac, MI. died October 31, 2010 in the David Family Home, Algonac. She was born January 10, 1912 in Bayonne, NJ. She married 1st Edward Pomeroy, married 2nd Rudolph Miketich on December 1941 in Detroit, MI. he died April 1962. She married 3rd Donald Naylor April 1970 on Harsens Island, MI. he died October 1980.
Alice owned and operated Rudy’s Grocery Store and Miketich Egg Factory, was a member the Algonac V.F.W Post 3901 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of St. Catherines Catholic Church. She was a waitress at Henry’s Restaurant and bowled on Henry’s bowling team. She played golf on the Harsens Island Ladies Golf league, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Naylor is survived by her children, Jack (Margaret) Miketich, Ralph (Becky) Miketich, and Jeanne (Robert) Simpson, daughter-in-law Janette Pomeroy, stepchildren, Steve (Pauline) Naylor and Kathy Lozen, siblings, Wandie Gigaux and Sophie Hultz, grandchildren, Lori Pomeroy, Steve Pomeroy, Stephanie Miketich Rickard, Lisa Miketich, Tom Miketich , Christine Hollen, Sara Kern, Pam Urbanski, Dawn Snarski, Sharon Smith, Barbie Lalonde, Laurie Smith, Amy Rende, and Donald Naylor, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by children Richard Pomeroy and Patricia Young, siblings Jennie Ewasiak, Mary Bendzinski, Berniece Zella, Bill Frankowski, Joe Frankowski, Adam Frankowski, and Edward Franks, grandchildren, Ryan Miketich and Cynthia Ludwick.
Memorial service 11:00 AM Friday November 19, 2010 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation Thursday 1-4 & 6-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Family Wishes.
