James “Jimmy” Frank McDonald
age 53 of Naples, Florida formerly from Algonac died November 27, 2011 in his home. He was born July 1, 1958 in Detroit, MI.
James has gone to join his parents James and Gloria McDonald and youngest sister Kateri in heaven. He was always full of life and love, he enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends. Although mostly self-taught, he was an accomplished Boatwright and made a successful career building and repairing boats.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Chanel. In addition, he was extremely proud of the services of his son, Senior Airman James F. McDonald III of the US Air Force, and of his step-son, Chief Petty Officer Chris (Kristen) Story of the US Coast Guard, grandchildren Kristian, Sophia and Emma Story, and sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy (Tom) Greene, Stephanie (Chuck) Elderson, Susan (Tony) Pastor, Amy (Jerry) Trempler, Janet (Mike) Violi, Betsy (John) Schuman, Lori (Don) Treder, and Ann McDonald-Hintze and Jim Hintze, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 7:00 PM Monday December 5, 2011 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation Monday 1-4 & 6 PM until time of service.
