Paul S. Brusati,
age 88, a resident of Algonac, MI. for over 40 years, passed away April 4, 2010 in the St. Johns River District Hospital. He was born January 20, 1922 in Detroit, MI. a son of Charles and Angela (nee Merlo) Brusati.
Mr. Brusati, a veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II attained the rank of sergeant and saw service in the Italian campaign. He was employed by the Detroit Water Works department for over 27 years. After retirement, he moved to Algonac to pursue his love of fishing and the enjoyment of outdoor activities.
Mr. Brusati is survived by his devoted sister Mary Fisher, and loving family, nephews Wayne (Donna) Brusate, and Kenneth (Judy) Brusate, and niece Barbara (Ted) Sikora. Paul took particular delight in his many great and great-great nephews and nieces, as well as his friends at the Algonquin Place where he resided. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Bina Brusati, brothers Kenneth (Helen) Brusate and Charles (Marilyn) Brusate, and a nephew Gary Brusate. The family wishes to thank his many friends and neighbors, from Algonquin Place, particularly Robert and Pat Hopkins, Harbor Health Care, as well as the doctors, nurses and Hospice workers who cared for him.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Thursday April 8, 2010 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation Wednesday 1-4 & 6-9 PM. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac.
